SmartRio is a full-stack digital engineering firm. We design, build and operate the software, cloud platforms and data systems that modern enterprises actually run on — with one accountable team from architecture to uptime.

Capabilities
Most programmes fail in the seams — between design and build, build and operations, data and decision. SmartRio holds all six under a single engagement lead, so the seams are ours to manage, not yours.
Web, mobile and API products taken from a blank discovery board to a production release your users trust.
Landing zones, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code and the CI/CD paths that make releases boring.
Pipelines, warehouses and model systems that put an answer in a workflow — not another dashboard nobody opens.
Research, interface design and design systems built to WCAG 2.2 AA — handed over as code, not just screens.
Legacy systems moved in phased, reversible steps — integration layers first, cutover only when the numbers agree.
A cross-functional squad embedded in your roadmap, with your rituals, your board and a named engineering lead.
How we work
Every engagement runs the same four stages in the same order. You see working software in the first fortnight, and you can stop at the end of any stage with everything we have built in your hands.
Workshops, system tracing and a written architecture opinion. You get a costed delivery plan whether or not you continue with us.
Weeks 1–2
Target architecture, data contracts, security model, environments and the release path — reviewed with your team, not presented to it.
Weeks 3–5
Two-week increments into a live environment. Demo every fortnight, trunk-based, tested, and shipped behind flags.
Continuous
SLOs, on-call, observability and cost review — until your own team is ready to take the pager, with the runbooks to do it.
Ongoing
Engineering stack
We pick tools your team can hire for and your auditors have heard of. Novelty goes in the parts of the system where it earns its risk — and nowhere else.
Typed front ends with server rendering by default, a shared design system across web and mobile, and component tests that run on every commit.
Service boundaries drawn around business capabilities, contract-tested at the edges, with events where coupling would otherwise hurt.
Everything reproducible from source: accounts, networks, clusters and pipelines. No environment exists that a pull request cannot rebuild.
One modelled source of truth, tested transformations, and model systems with evaluation harnesses before they reach a single user.
Threat modelling in the architecture stage, secrets out of code from day one, and controls mapped to the frameworks your auditors already use.
Engagement blueprints
Three illustrative programmes showing the shape of our work: the problem as a client states it, the approach we would take, and the outcomes the engagement is engineered to hit.
Financial services
Illustrative blueprint — not a client engagement.
Logistics
Illustrative blueprint — not a client engagement.
Healthcare
Illustrative blueprint — not a client engagement.
Engagement models
Same engineers, same standards — the difference is who holds the roadmap and how you would rather carry the risk.
Fixed outcome
A defined scope, a costed plan and a delivery date we sign up to.
Most chosen
A cross-functional squad that joins your roadmap and stays with it.
Run and improve
We keep what is already live healthy, observable and cheaper to run.
Our commitments
These are the targets written into a SmartRio engagement — the standards you can hold us to from the first sprint, not marketing figures.
Uptime objective we design, test and report production systems against.
From kickoff to software running in a live environment you can click.
Acknowledged by a named engineer, any hour, on every care contract.
Yours from the first commit, in your repositories, with no lock-in.
